Top 5 AI tools for PR & marketing

It’s evident that AI is becoming increasingly beneficial in the daily responsibilities of marketing and PR professionals. Whether it’s streamlining processes or eliminating mundane tasks, there seems to be an AI software tool for everything. But with advancements in AI seemingly happening every day when we log on to work, sometimes it can be hard to keep up, or even understand which platforms produce the best results.

Here’s what we think are the top 5 AI tools that you can use in your marketing and PR work (and no, this isn’t sponsored!).

Otter.ai

We’ve all been there, finishing up a call with a client and then the sudden realisation hits that you need to transcribe your call. And while Microsoft Word’s built in transcriber does a decent job, the process could definitely be more streamlined. Enter, Otter.ai. Otter is essentially your automated meeting assistant!

It makes transcribing interviews or calls incredibly simple, all you have to do is upload the file of your recorded meeting and Otter.ai will transcribe it. But the beauty of Otter.ai isn’t in the speed of the transcription, but the editing function. It takes you word by word through the call whilst you can manually review the text, so if someone says something and the software doesn’t pick up the correct word, you can manually change it without stopping the transcription or text scrolling.

Another brilliant feature is that you can add OtterPilot to your meeting and it will produce automated meeting notes and summaries with actionable items afterwards, removing the tedious task of composing action item emails.

Opus Clip

According to InVideo, video content is 12 times more successful and generates higher engagement rates when compared to both text and image content combined. So, it’s no surprise that more and more marketers are trying to introduce video content into their campaigns, particularly content from interviews and webinars. But sifting through the hours of recorded content is too time consuming just to find the perfect one-minute clip.

Opus Clip is a real time (and life) saver when it comes to creating short and engaging clips, turning long-form videos into high-quality clips for you to then share on TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts. Simply upload the file of your video content and leave it to go to work.

It breaks down your content and designates a score to each clip for the hook, flow, engagement and whether it’s on trend and explains them all, incredibly handy right? You can also go in and make any edits you wish manually, just in case there’s something to remove.

Lexica Art

If you’re looking for an AI image generator, look no further than Lexica Art. Whether you need images for a social media post or to include in a pitching deck to get your campaign ideas across, we think is the best image generator for the job.

It is great at making realistic images that supports the creation of artwork. And with a user-friendly interface and simple to use features, it allows even for those of us who aren’t as technically skilled to navigate and customise creations more easily.

Grammarly

As marketing and PR professionals, writing content is our job, and we’re good at it. But sometimes, we just need an additional perspective when it comes to reviewing content. One of Grammarly’s biggest perks is how it catches those pesky grammar and spelling mistakes that we all make from time to time. It’s super handy for ensuring your writing is polished and professional, whether you’re drafting an awkward email or writing a long report.

Another great feature is that it gives you feedback in real time. So, as you type, Grammarly will suggest improvements, helping you learn and improve your writing skills as you go. Plus, it’s not just about grammar, it also offers style and tone suggestions to make sure your writing matches the context, whether it’s formal or casual.

Copilot

Last but not least, Copilot (we can’t have a top AI tools blog without it!) If I’m ever drafting a long piece of content and find myself a little bit stuck, or I’m not quite sure how to word an email, Copilot provides suggestions that help to make your writing clearer and more engaging.

Another big plus is its contextual understanding. When entering a prompt, you can decide whether you would like the platform to reply with something with a more formal tone for business or a casual tone for social media creation, so you’re not left with the same consistent tone every time.
