A look back at 2019

A look back at 2019

It’s safe to say that 2019 has been another fantastic year for Skout. We’ve continued our upwards growth trajectory and we’ve been working hard to grow the team and our fantastic and diverse client base. Here’s a quick look back at 2019 and some of our highlights;

The team

The Skout team has seen four new arrivals this year, bringing our total headcount to ten. We’ve recruited our first office manager, Alex Gladwin, who also has a hand in the finance and HR side of things and is quite possibly the most organised woman in the world. The second half of the year saw us recruit new account execs, Rebecca Brown and Becky McArdle, who have brought bags of enthusiasm and more laughter to the office. Our most recent addition is our new account director, Claire James, who brings a wealth of experience in the healthcare, hospitality and leisure industries, as well as lots of killer heals! If you want to get to know them a bit better, click the links to read their ‘Meet the Skout’ blogs.

Our clients

As well as winning lots of lovely new clients, we feel lucky to continue working alongside our fantastic existing clients. We’re very proud that our first ever client, Wax Digital, is still a client today almost ten years later! We’re also really excited to welcome new clients; Crown, Tridge, Anvizent, e-Foods and FHL, and can’t wait to see what 2020 will bring. With several new business pitches in the calendar for January already, the team are hard at work preparing.

Our achievements

With so many wide-ranging achievements to note, it’s only right to mention our awards and recognitions from the year; just to show that we’re not the only ones who think we’re great! Not only were we really pleased to jump ten places in Prolific North’s ‘Top 50 PR agencies’ listing, but we were also nominated for The Drum Recommends Awards in the public relations and strategic thinking categories. Although we didn’t win, the nomination meant a lot to us because it was based on feedback and ratings from our lovely clients.

Skout is set to celebrate its tenth anniversary next year and we’ve got lots of exciting plans in the pipeline. We’re looking forward to seeing what new opportunities and challenges the new year will bring, but in the meantime, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, from all of us at Skout.
